MADELENE
| She came to me in my later years Midst the summer of my life She's always here beside me This angel, this woman, my wife With the pleasure of her presence And the warmth within her smile She can banish every care and doubt And make this life worthwhile And because she's slight of stature I'm constantly surprised How she fills our world completely With a heart that's oversized Her lilting laugh brings brightness To each corner of a room She fills our hearts with sunshine There's no space left for gloom Our home is filled with happiness She wont let in the strife She is God's gift to our every need This angel, this woman, my wife And because we'd lived alone so long It was hard for us to learn How she could give herself completely And ask so little in return She strives to keep us happy She puts her own needs on the shelf Her thoughts are just for family And never for herself She never doubts my reasoning Though I may fear the road I tread But with the confidence she gives me She clears the path ahead She has such a gentle nature And a love beyond compare I can't imagine just one moment Without her being there It's not mere infatuation That I feel when she appears It's a love that keeps on growing We've shared more than twenty years A walking, talking, miracle She came to pave our way We love her for so many things We love her more each day She's a part of everything we do She's every part of life And together we face the future With our angel, our woman, my wife K.D.
